We have two commissions for the Walsall Cultural Education Partnership (WCEP):

Commission for a Freelance Arts Programme Manager- £24,000 (2 year programme) for the Walsall Arts for All programme.

We are seeking an experienced Arts Programme Manager, or skilled individual (this could also be a secondment from an organisation) or organisation to lead on our new Walsall Arts for All programme.

The Arts Programme Manager will be part of Walsall Cultural Education Partnership (WCEP), managed by Ormiston Shelfield Academy in partnership with Walsall Council. The successful individual, or organisation, will with a proven track record of working with children and young people, schools and stakeholders to develop and manage community based Arts/Education programmes

The commission is funded as part of the Walsall Council’s Integrated Communities programme, Walsall for All, supported by the Ministry of Housing, Community and Local Government (MHCLG) and through Arts Connect’s Partnership Investment.

Walsall’s Integrated Communities programme is a national programme that connects children and young people and families from different communities to wider arts and cultural learning opportunities.

Applications are welcome from those with a background in Arts/Education project management or, who have worked in this field in a freelance capacity. The role is also open to those organisations including schools, colleges and universities that may be interested in a putting forward a candidate as a secondee.

The Arts Programme Manager will report on a day-to-day freelance basis to Senior Leaders at Ormiston Shelfield Academy who will manage the commission. Office space and laptop will be available as needed.

Commission for a Freelance Co-ordinator – £7,000 (1 year, PT) 

We are seeking an experienced freelance co-ordinator/organisation (this is open to both individuals and organisations) to support Walsall Cultural Education Partnership (WCEP) to develop its planned programme.

The co-ordinator will be managed by Ormiston Shelfield Academy.

The commission will include co-ordinating the planned WCEP developments to:

  • Engage and recruit new CEP memberships
  • Develop the communications and social media systems for the CEP
  • Liaise with Dudley and Sandwell CEPs on a CPD Teacher networks
  • Launch Walsall CEP’s first Teaparty
  • Develop Funding; Consult children and young people.
